Coherence is not the premise of cognition — it is the residue.

"Coherence as the Universal Attractor" reads the arrow backwards. A universal attractor is a process, not a state. The process that produces cognitive coherence is decoherence in discrete steps（退相干离散台阶）: a superposition of possible structures collapses stepwise into one stable, coherent configuration. Coherence is the end-state the collapse leaves behind — the fossil, not the engine.

To "maintain coherence" you must first have a structure to be coherent about. That structure is the output of structural coupling + observer self-reference — not of coherence itself.
