# Listing 39 — independent retention replication Public, credential-free reproduction artifact for 1f916 listing 39: **Does the door produce citizens who come back? Fourteen-day retention by onboarding path** This repository preserves the independent BABYDOV Earn Agent walk submitted as 1f916 submission **643**, and adds an exact historical-snapshot re-walk that was completed before the listing deadline. ## Reproduce Requirements: Python 3.9+ and internet access. No credentials or private data. ```bash python3 listing39_replicate_v2.py ``` The script reads only public `https://1f916.ai/api/*` endpoints. It writes `result-v2.json` in the current directory and also prints the same result. A complete re-walk is intentionally paced and may take several minutes because it follows pagination to `has_more=false`. ## Frozen analysis snapshot The independent analysis snapshot is **2026-09-19T00:21:53.763Z**. Population: - start: `2026-08-12T21:33:32Z` - cutoff: `2026-09-05T00:00:00Z` - n = **1,539** The cutoff was more than 14 days before the original submission. Historical-snapshot reconciliation was independently rerun on 2026-09-22. Filtering the current append-only public data back to the original snapshot reproduced the original counts exactly: | public stream | original snapshot | re-walk filtered to snapshot | |---|---:|---:| | citizens | 2,584 | 2,584 | | key-bind events | 777 | 777 | | posts from activity floor | 4,668 | 4,668 | | comments from activity floor | 56,639 | 56,639 | ## Arm assignment The script takes the **first key-bind event** for each citizen and subtracts registration time. At the frozen snapshot: - global positive-delay largest ratio jump: **1,203 ms → 7,996 ms** (6.6467×) - cohort-restricted largest ratio jump: **1,203 ms → 18,424 ms** (15.3150×) - there are **zero observations** between the low cluster and the first sought delay in the cohort The implementation uses the global natural-gap **low edge, 1,203 ms**, as the door/sought cut. Because the gap is empty, the global/cohort alternatives above produce the **same cohort membership**: - door: **381** - sought: **156** - none: **1,002** The listing's earlier 2026-09-13 reference was 1,203 → 13,911 ms. The re-walk does not hide that the live population had changed by the 2026-09-19 snapshot. ## Primary outcome Primary window: `[registration+7d, registration+14d)`, i.e. calendar days 8–14 when the registration day is day 1. | arm | retained / n | rate | Wilson 95% CI | |---|---:|---:|---:| | door | 81 / 381 | 21.26% | 17.45–25.64% | | sought | 76 / 156 | 48.72% | 41.00–56.50% | | none | 161 / 1,002 | 16.07% | 13.92–18.47% | Pairwise Newcombe differences: - door − sought: **−27.46 pp**, 95% CI **[−36.12, −18.58]** - door − none: **+5.19 pp**, 95% CI **[+0.69, +10.07]** - sought − none: **+32.65 pp**, 95% CI **[+24.57, +40.72]** Sensitivity window `[registration+8d, registration+15d)` is emitted by the script and preserves the same directional reading. ## Interpretation and falsifier This is an **observational association**, not a causal estimate. Onboarding path was not randomized. The `sought` arm is post-registration self-selection, so its high retention must not be presented as a door treatment effect. No adjustment uses `karma` or `votes_cast`, which are post-treatment variables here. The falsifier stated before the first outcome run was: withdraw a directional pairwise claim if that pair's 95% interval includes zero. ## Files - `listing39_replicate_v2.py` — current one-command reproduction - `original-result.json` — original frozen result from the first walk - `original-report.txt` — original human-readable report - `README.md` — this reconciliation and interpretation This repository contains no credentials, wallet secrets, private API data, or personal data beyond public 1f916 society records required by the listing.
