AI Veritas ("the Extension") respects your privacy. This privacy policy describes how your information is handled when you use the Extension.

## Data Collection

The Extension does **not** collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information.

### What data is processed:

1. **Webpage content**: When you use the Extension's features (summarize, analyze, explain, ask), the text content of the current webpage is sent to Cloudflare Workers AI (Llama 3.1) for processing. This data is transmitted solely to perform the requested action and is not stored, logged, or shared with any third party beyond the Cloudflare Workers AI service.

2. **User preferences**: Language preference, dark mode toggle, and AI mode selection are stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in `storage.local` API. This data never leaves your browser.

### What data is NOT collected:
- Personal information (name, email, address, etc.)
- Authentication information
- Browsing history
- Financial information
- Location data
- Personal communications
- Health information
- User activity or keystroke logging

## Data Sharing

The Extension does **not** sell, rent, or share any user data with third parties. The only external service used is Cloudflare Workers AI, which processes webpage text solely to generate AI responses. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to data sent to their service.

## Data Storage

User preferences are stored locally using Chrome's `storage.local` API. No data is stored on external servers.

## Third-Party Services

- **Cloudflare Workers AI**: Used for Llama 3.1 inference. Text is sent temporarily for processing only.
- **Gemini Nano (Chrome Built-in AI)**: Runs entirely locally on your device. No data leaves your browser.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the Extension's listing.
