Privacy Policy for autoTAB Effective date: 2026-07-16 autoTAB is a Chrome extension that helps users manage browser tabs by detecting duplicates, grouping tabs, and providing tab audio controls. What data autoTAB processes To provide core functionality, autoTAB processes browser tab-related data, including: - Tab URLs - Tab titles - Tab grouping state - Tab audio/mute state - Technical identifiers such as tab IDs and window IDs How this data is used autoTAB uses this data only to: - Detect duplicate tabs - Group tabs by domain - Apply user-selected duplicate actions - Display tab management information in the extension UI - Execute user-requested tab actions (for example mute/unmute or close duplicates) Data sharing and selling autoTAB does not sell personal information and does not share tab data with third parties for advertising purposes. Data storage - Settings and preferences are stored using Chrome extension storage APIs. - Some operational state (for example local activity/UI state) is stored locally in the browser. - autoTAB does not require account signup to function. Data retention Stored extension data remains until: - the user clears extension/browser data, or - the extension is removed.
