HEK Control ("we", "our", or "us") provides a mobile application that supports speed measurement, Bluetooth controller communication, AI-assisted analysis, firmware-related tools, and online leaderboard features.

## Data We Access or Process

HEK Control may access or process the following categories of data, depending on how you use the app:

### 1. Location data

The app may access precise or approximate location data from your device for features such as:

- GPS-based speed measurement
- Drag timing and route-related calculations
- Location labels for leaderboard runs
- Weather information shown inside the app

### 2. Bluetooth and nearby device data

The app uses Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to:

- Scan for supported devices
- Connect to supported vehicle controllers
- Read live controller and device data
- Support controller settings and firmware-related functions

### 3. User profile data

The app may store profile-related data that you choose to provide, including:

- User name
- Avatar seed
- Avatar image selected by you
- Language preference
- Speed unit preference

### 4. Images you choose to provide

If you choose to attach an image for AI analysis or choose an avatar image, the app may process that image.

### 5. App and device usage data

The app may store operational or feature-related data, such as:

- Leaderboard run results
- Speed and timing results
- Controller model information
- Partial controller/device identification details needed for app functionality
- App preferences related to language, units, and profile settings

## How We Use Data

We use data only to operate and support the app's features, including:

- Measuring speed and drag performance
- Connecting to supported Bluetooth controller devices
- Reading live status and parameters from supported devices
- Supporting controller settings and firmware tools
- Showing weather information inside the app
- Maintaining your local profile and preferences
- Displaying and syncing leaderboard results
- Providing AI-assisted explanations or tuning guidance
- Supporting subscription and entitlement checks through Google Play Billing

## Data Sharing and External Services

HEK Control may send limited data to third-party services only when needed for the related feature.

### 1. Google Gemini AI services

If you use AI features, the app may send:

- Your question or prompt
- Visible app context related to your request
- An image you intentionally attach for AI analysis, if applicable

This data is sent only when you use the AI-related function.

### 2. GitHub-based leaderboard storage or sync

If leaderboard sync is enabled or used, the app may send leaderboard-related records online. These records may include:

- User name
- Avatar data selected by the user
- Run result data
- Location label
- Vehicle/controller model details shown in the run

### 3. Weather service

The app may send latitude and longitude to a weather service in order to retrieve weather information displayed in the app.

### 4. Google Play Billing

If you use subscription or trial features, purchase and billing handling is managed by Google Play. We do not directly process your payment card details.

## Local Storage

Some data is stored locally on your device to support app functionality, including:

- User profile settings
- Avatar image data
- AI image state
- Leaderboard data
- App preferences
- Connection or feature state required for app operation

## Data Retention

We retain data for as long as needed to provide the feature for which it is used, unless you remove it, clear app data, uninstall the app, or replace it with updated data.

Examples:

- Local profile and preferences remain on your device until changed or removed
- Local leaderboard data remains on your device until cleared or overwritten
- Online leaderboard data may remain in the online leaderboard storage after upload unless separately removed or replaced

## Your Choices

You can choose whether to:

- Grant or deny location permission
- Grant or deny Bluetooth-related permissions
- Use or not use the AI image feature
- Set or change your user name and avatar
- Participate in online leaderboard-related features

Some app features may not work correctly if the required permissions are denied.

## Security

We take reasonable steps to support secure handling of data in the app. However, no method of storage, transmission, or internet-based processing is guaranteed to be completely secure.

## Children's Privacy

HEK Control is not designed specifically for children.

## Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version should be the version linked from the app's Google Play listing or otherwise provided by the developer.
